Assistant Principal

Assists in the planning, development, organization, coordination, and supervision of instructional programs and activities; interprets and implements the approved curriculum program in light of individual school needs.

Leads the MTSS program and problem-solving teams.

Assists in providing leadership to the professional staff in determining objectives and identifying school needs as the basis for developing long and short-range plans for the school.

Assists in the NCEES school-wide.

Assists the principal in the overall administration of the school and assumes leadership of the school in the absence of the principal.

Assists in the supervision of student enrollment, records, attendance, and health requirements.

Develops plans for emergency situations, in cooperation with staff and public safety agencies.

Maintains a commitment to ongoing growth in self and others, supporting and participating in district and site professional growth programs.

Relates to students with mutual respect while carrying out a positive and effective discipline policy.

Supervises the reporting and monitoring of student attendance, with follow-up student/parent contact where necessary. Has knowledge of local policies, state and federal laws relating to schools.

Performs other related duties as needed. Master’s degree or higher with successful teaching experience (3 or more years). Must have an NC School Administrator's license or in the process of completing licensure in school administration.

Middle School Math Teacher

Under general supervision, plans, organizes, and presents instruction and instructional environments which help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their educational and social development. Bachelor’s degree including all courses to meet credential requirements. Valid North Carolina license in the grade levels and areas assigned. Must be proficient in the use of technology, and willing to make a positive difference in the lives of students.

Middle School Science Teacher

Under general supervision, plans, organizes, and presents instruction and instructional environments which help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their educational and social development. Bachelor’s degree including all courses to meet credential requirements. Valid North Carolina license in the grade levels and areas assigned. Must be proficient in the use of technology, and willing to make a positive difference in the lives of students.

K-6 Elementary Teacher

Under general supervision, plans, organizes, and presents instruction and instructional environments which help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their educational and social development. Bachelor’s degree including all courses to meet credential requirements. Valid North Carolina license in the grade levels and areas assigned. Must be proficient in the use of technology, and willing to make a positive difference in the lives of students

EC Teacher

Under general supervision, provides special education services to students identified as disabled in accordance with state and federal regulations. Work involves developing and implementing the Individual Education Program in classroom settings that are compatible with the student’s age and developmental level. The EC teacher is responsible for developing lesson plans, adapting materials, and designing activities to assist EC students to develop appropriate academic, behavioral, and social skills and to meet their IEP goals. The teacher is responsible for monitoring student’s progress and for maintaining EC records in compliance with state and federal guidelines. Bachelor’s degree in special education with at least one area of disability as a teacher. Must be licensed in North Carolina.
