Our Middle School at a Glance:

6th-8th Grade Middle School

Middle school students take four core courses and one elective course per quarter taught by certified, highly qualified content teachers.

All students receive instruction in Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies each quarter in addition to one elective course. Elective courses include: Visual Arts, Music, Physical Education or Spanish.

All students receive personalization and acceleration of course topics when appropriate.

  • 5 Classes Per Day (75 minutes long)

  • Students take the following classes daily: ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies

  • In addition to the core subjects above, students take electives on a rotating basis.

Grades are given based on a 10-point scale:

    • 90-100 (A)

    • 80-90 (B)

    • 70-80 (C)

    • 60-70 (D)

    • Below 60 (F)

Students in grades K-8 are eligible for our Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG) Program.

Extra-curricular Activities:

    • National Junior Honor Society

    • New Century Scholars

    • Athletics

    • Theatre

    • Clubs
