AIG Program

Lake Lure Classical Academy believes every student can learn, grow, achieve, and succeed. Specifically, we believe that all students demonstrate individual gifts, strengths, and needs that require active participation in differentiated educational services. Their unique potential for learning should be met through expanded educational opportunities including parent, community, and school collaboration. 

Academically or Intellectually Gifted  (AIG) students are individuals who perform or show potential to perform at substantially high levels of accomplishment when compared with others of their age, experience, or environment. AIG students exhibit high-performance capability in intellectual areas, specific academic fields, or in both intellectual areas and specific academic fields. 

AIG students require differentiated educational services beyond those ordinarily provided by the regular education program. Outstanding abilities are present in students from all cultural groups, across all economic stations, and in all areas of human endeavor.
