Library Resources

Welcome to the Lake Lure Classical Academy Library / Media Center

Reading matters at LLCA! Just reading 20 minutes a day will expose students to over 1.8 million words per year.

Currently, we have over 6,000 books in our school library. Additionally, our students have many online resources for books available to them. You can find links to the online resources on this website.

My name is Betsy Clay and I am the School Librarian.

I have a Master's Degree in Library Science from East Carolina University. I've been with LLCA since 2018 and formerly taught Middle School Mathematics.

The LLCA library offers a space for students to ask questions and find answers. It fosters creativity and helps the imagination grow. This year there will be exciting events offered in the library such as the upcoming Book Fair in November, guest speakers, and a "Read Across the Gorge," event happening in the Spring. Students are always welcome in the library to check out a good book, or for a quiet place to study.

I am so excited to be your Librarian! Please feel free to email me if you have any questions, concerns or would like to tell me about a good book! You can reach my through my email at [email protected] or call the school.

Happy Reading!
