About Us

Celebrating its 14th year, Lake Lure Classical Academy is a kindergarten through 12th-grade tuition-free public charter school that is open to all North Carolina students.  We offer free bus transportation, we have over 450 students attending from across four counties.

May 13th - 15th from 3-5 in the Raptor Center
Open to grades 6-12 (2024-2025 school year)
Must have current physical to tryout!
This will be our only tryout session for 2024-2025 season New Students accepted for next year are welcome to come tryout! Be sure to wear correct attire and correct gym shoes! Email [email protected] with any questions.

Help Lake Lure Continue to Grow

The athletic flagpole, graciously donated by Rita Rash Burch, is quickly becoming a cornerstone of our athletic field enhancements. This spot is very prominent as you enter our outdoor athletic facilities, along with the new scoreboard and dugouts.
